So the camera detects the motion and presumably reports the motion events, but the NAS doesn't know about it. I can confirm that the camera shows "motion detected" events in its own log. QNAP believe the problem may be a firmware update to the camera (which I have previously done), which may have changed how the camera reports motion detection events, and the NAS/Surveillance Station Pro no longer detects the motion.
QNAP support tested my camera with their own NAS and NVR systems and also motion detection did not work. According to the list of supported cameras ( ), motion detection is supported, however, I can't get "record on motion detection" to work. I would like to record only when motion is detected.
